Product details

This washable Dyson DC27 pre-filter replaces the pre-motor filter in the DC27 and DC28 uprights. It installs ahead of the motor, catching the fine dust that clears the cyclone stage before that air reaches the motor windings.

A pre-filter packed with dust restricts airflow, raises motor temperature, and slowly drags down suction, sometimes far enough to trip the thermal cutout. Because this filter is washable, a rinse or a replacement reopens the airflow path and keeps debris away from the motor.
