ProTeam Back Plate Connecti...

Product details
The joint between the back plate and the vacuum body is a load point and a seal at the same time, and this connection kit, part 100374, supplies the hardware that holds both together on the ProTeam QuarterVac backpack vacuum.
That joint does double duty. Structurally, it is one of the main points where the harness weight transfers into the vacuum body, so worn or missing hardware lets the housing flex and shift as the operator moves through a shift. The same joint sits in the sealed airflow path, and because the entire airflow has to pass through that path on its way to the motor, a loose connection there opens a leak that shows up as reduced suction at the tool, even when the bag and filters are otherwise in good shape. The two problems tend to arrive together, since the same worn hardware that lets the housing flex is what breaks the seal in the first place.
A QuarterVac that feels loose against the back plate, or that has lost suction with the filters and hose otherwise clean, is worth checking at this connection before anything else is replaced. Loose hardware here is also easy to miss during a quick visual check, since the housing can still look fully assembled while sitting slightly out of alignment.
