This replacement motor armature is wound to match the original specification for Hoover upright motors and fits Hoover models 1025, 1330, and 1348. The armature is the rotating core of the motor, spinning within the field to drive the fan and generate suction.
A worn armature shows itself through sparking at the brushes, rough or noisy running, or a motor that has stopped altogether. Left in service it can burn the carbon brushes and damage the commutator. Installing a correctly wound armature returns the motor to smooth, full-power operation.
