Made for the Dyson DC50 platform, this replacement pre-motor filter (Part #F631) fits the Dyson DC50 and the Small Ball UP15. It sits ahead of the motor, catching fine dust before it can reach and wear the motor windings.

A pre-motor filter gradually loads with debris, and a clogged one starves the motor of air. The machine then runs hot, loses suction, and can shut off mid clean. Dropping in a clean filter restores the airflow the upright was designed to move.

  • Fits: Dyson DC50 and UP15
  • Part: cone filter measuring about 2.33 in top diameter by 5.4 in length
  • Benefit: cooler motor operation and steady suction
  • Tip: rinse per the manual and replace when it no longer clears
