The Sharp agitator support for the EC-2650 upright vacuum is a replacement part that holds the brush roll properly in position, and it is essential to correct brush roll operation. The agitator does the hard work of an upright on carpet, and it can only do that work when its supports hold it steady at full speed.
Worn supports show up as a wobbling brush roll, lost brush speed, or a complete failure to spin, all of which cut carpet cleaning effectiveness well before the motor or belt fails. Replacing the support is far less costly than replacing the agitator assembly it protects.
This part is compatible with A016VBF and other similar models. If your Sharp EC-2650 has developed brush roll noise or vibration, inspect the supports at both ends before assuming the roll itself is at fault.
