This replacement agitator pulley fits the Sharp EC12SX6, EC12TX6, and EC12TX8 uprights. The pulley rides on the end of the brush roll and takes the drive belt, transferring motor power into the spinning agitation that lifts dirt from carpet.
When the pulley cracks, glazes, or wears smooth, the belt slips instead of gripping, so the brush roll slows or stops and the carpet no longer gets agitated. A fresh pulley gives the belt a solid surface to grip again and restores full brush roll speed.
