Fitting MC-6300 Series uprights, the replacement Panasonic agitator end plate cover (part #AMC01Q-AV0R) caps the outer end of the brush roll and secures the bearing against the nozzle housing.
Vibration and heat gradually harden and crack this cover, and once it splits the agitator can rattle out of alignment. A loose roll loses carpet contact, throws the belt, and chews at the bearing. A sound end cover holds everything square so the brush spins cleanly and quietly.
