This replacement Panasonic agitator end plate (part #AMC54R-F00) fits models MC661 through MC671. The end plate caps the side of the brush roll assembly and holds the agitator bearing and support in place.
The end plate absorbs steady vibration and can crack or wear until the brush roll shifts or wobbles in its seat. A loose agitator loses carpet contact, chews the belt, and grinds the bearing. A sound end plate keeps the roll centered and spinning true.
