ProTeam GoFit 3 PH / 6 PH Switch Box with Receptacle

ProTeam's GoFit 6 PH and GoFit 3 PH backpacks run a corded power nozzle, and that changes what the switch box has to do: part 844156-1 adds a molded receptacle to the housing so the nozzle has somewhere to draw power from.

Two things set this box apart from the standard version. The added receptacle is the most visible difference. Less obvious but just as useful is the twist-lock fitting that holds the extension cord's plug captive inside the box, so a cord snagged on furniture pulls the whole unit rather than popping free and cutting power mid-room. The integrated cord wrap carried on the standard box is built into this one as well, taking day-to-day strain off the plug connection.

A failing twist-lock is easy to miss until the extension cord actually pulls free mid-job, at which point the power nozzle stops mid-pass and the operator has to walk back to reseat the plug. A receptacle that has gone loose or shows scorching inside is worth replacing the whole box over, since the receptacle is molded into the housing and is not a separately serviceable part.

Before ordering, confirm the machine in front of you actually carries the PH designation. The non-powered GoFit 3 and GoFit 6 use the switch box without a receptacle, and the two housings are not interchangeable if a power nozzle is part of the setup.
